Multiple models can be published to a single Assemble model.

A new window will appear, prompting you to enter the email address and password used to log into Assemble.Enter the Assemble Server configuration provided to you by Assemble Systems, and then click Continue.Note: If the Publish Model to Assemble button is not active, select the default 3D view of the project to activate the button. On the Assemble toolbar, click Publish Model to Assemble.On the application menu bar, click the Assemble tab.Open the model in your Autodesk application (Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or AutoCAD Architecture).

Note: The primary, or host, model will need to either be saved locally or opened as a central model to publish to Assemble. Note: Assemble does not publish geometry from AutoCAD MEP or AutoCAD Architecture. If you do not want the quantities from the external references included in your Assemble inventory, detach the xrefs before publishing your model. Assemble will also publish your main model and any attached references (xrefs). When publishing models AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Architecture, the Assemble Add-in publishes the properties of multi-view parts (MVP), the properties of many 3rd party objects, and block attributes. Repeat the process with each design option to be published. Then, use the Assemble Publisher Add-in to publish the model to Assemble. To publish multiple design options, identify the design option to publish, and click the Make Primary button in Revit. The design options can be published as versions of a model for cost comparisons or inventory comparisons. The Assemble Add-in publishes elements from your main model, including elements that are not visible in your current view or which have been turned off in the Visibility/Graphics window (optional). When publishing models from Revit, the Assemble Add-in publishes shared parameters, project parameters, custom user parameters, and geometric data to Assemble. If you don’t have a model to publish, navigate to the 05 Working with Models section to continue the tutorial. When you are ready to publish your model data, the Assemble Add-in sends all of your model information directly to Assemble.
Xref autocad verification#
The Assemble add-in extracts data such as system parameters, custom parameters, and geometry (in Autodesk Revit) and publishes that information to Assemble for analysis, management, conditioning, verification and sharing.
